Hair sourcing is the first important stage

After the sourcing stage, these hairs are taken to factories where they are sorted out and selected in different lengths.

They are sorted and arranged together (arranging of the hair is to ensure the hair is even). 

The arranged hair is soaked in a solution of conditioners and detergents to remove the dirt, oil and other dust particles.

After these, the hair then go through another stage called Hackling

Hackling is a process done to arrange the hair evenly according to the lengths/sizes.

All short hair removed from the pieces is arranged for further process.

There are basically two reasons why hackling is done...

1. Detangling

After the hair is washed and dried.. it tends to stick together. So hackling is used to separate them.

2. Removal of short hairs

Hackling is also used to remove the short hairs in a bundle of hair and to make it more even- making double drawns and super double drawns.

Burn Test

When you put a strand of hair and put in a burning flame, a real human hair burn nearly instantly and may burn into ashes, and smell like burning hair.

A fake human hair melts slowly into a ball, smells like rubber and produces black smoke.

Texture

Human hair tends to be softer and more durable than synthetic hair since they are made from actual human hair.
